I hope you enjoy your holiday without making it so literal… we do not need to gobble EVERYTHING up in site!  Below are my tips to surviving Thanksgiving without gaining 10 LBS and still enjoying 🙂

Turkey Day (a non Gobble Gobble approach)

  1. Scope out your options FIRST. Decided what you really really want to try BEFORE you begin filling up your plate. Some things may not be worth taking up space on your plate.
  2. You do not have to be a member of the clean plate club- your Great Aunt Sally will forgive you for not finishing EVERYTHING.
  3. If you are a pumpkin pie fan- INDULGE! Pumpkin is the healthiest pie option during this time of year… and you’ll get some vitamins. 🙂
  4. Watch the appetizers.. if your options are carrots and celery- go for it! If you have fatty dips and crackers- pass!
  5. Do not be afraid to bring your own options if you have dietary needs… it isn’t insulting to the host.
  6. Enjoy your meal- slow down!
